1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NIV) 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails.
You have probably heard someone say “Never say Never” or perhaps don’t use words like always. But Paul makes it clear in 1 Corinthians 13 that love ALWAYS displays the character of Christ.
It is good to be reminded to meditate and reflect on what it means to truly love God and love our neighbors.
Being patient is hard. Being kind can be difficult sometimes. Becoming angry can be very easy. This is a list that can seem impossible, but with the Holy Spirit we can accomplish these attitudes of true love.
You have a Father in Heaven who loves you so much He would do anything for you! Even shed His blood on a cross just for you!
We know you are rooted in the love of God and standing on His promises. You are a courageous leader for Christ. You are shining the life of Christ!!
So whatever you face, ALWAYS hope in the Lord, ALWAYS trust in his promises, and ALWAYS have perseverance in the trials.
